Email group message sent Nov 4th

Hello team!
Apologies I was supposed to send this earlier, but I was getting carried away with a side project :$ If you are interest, I've written a blog about it here: http://fal108-themediastudent.blogspot.com/2009/11/bbc-scriptwriting-talent-competition.html - so I've not been wasting my time aimlessly I assure you - and so NOT been having water fights with flat 45 and fat 48....So yes, anyway, truth is, we all need to be far more organised. I admit I do too, I need to be more organised in arranging group sessions, auditions, and producery stuff, which I realise I have been lacking lately - infact, Thom has been more producery then me, lol :P

I promise to be more producery.Basically, organisation wise, we are begining to lack in pre-production, and this is all crew members. We were so much more active in the first few weeks, and I think knowing how far ahead we are has caused us to relax a bit, when truthfully, we need to be more strict and co-dependent with each other! We should be aiming higher everyday! To keep up this momentum we all need to attend regular and routine meetings, bring notepads and pens to keep updated and informed with group and individual tasks as well as keeping minutes. In fact, I think we need to become more society roled - you know, have a trasurer, minute writer, president type role etc. So, here is what I propose.

As producer, I'll be main speaker, who will keep track of what needs to be done, so a presidentary type role, but not so offical, cuz I don't want to seem big-headed or anything. Just looked for a better word then president, cuz I don't like the word - chairman. Kay and Thom, I'd like to offer you roles of treasurers. You keep eye on the budget and control it. As Kay has already contributed to the budget and Thom is co-director.Kay, I would also like you to take the minutes, which will then give you the responsibility of updating our blog and facebook group. You can have help from me in this area if you like, as I will also be taking notes of the meetings for the production file.

I will also be recording (hopefully dictorphone, not a camera) all of our future meetings. It is everyone's jobs in these meetings to highlight any problems we may have missed out or need hightlighting in each meeting, as well as highlighting what we are getting on with. Biggsey, you shall have a vice-presidentary type role - or rather, vice chairman. My right hand man. Sorry it isn't more specific!!Jamie, I'd like you to take on a secretary role. Meaning admin type jobs. So when meetings are arranged, you send emails and reminders to all the group as well providing everyone of minutes from previous meetings - obviously you'll get this from Kay, as well as any other print outs, reports, paperwork etc required. Also you need to contact members regarding individual tasks. This is all stuff off the top of my head.

Aplogies Biggsey, I'll come up with a more contribitory detailed role, but I don't know off the top of my head what is required in this type of structured meeting. This can be tackled in our next meeting. If you want to swap roles for any reason, or can think of any additional information, this can be discussed at our next meeting. Everyone is meeting outside the science bulding at 12.45, except for Jamie, Biggs and Thom who will be collecting equipment at half 12 from the media building.

The equipment will be there waiting by the time me, Kay and Martin arrive. Is Aaron coming along for any particular reason, or even spectate?? Also, Kay, any information about these two lads wanting to audition for Scorseby? Did you get the copy of draft 4 of the script I sent you, and did you manage to send it on to one or both of the two people interested?? If so, have you recieved feedback? We have filming equipment intil the end of the week. Rural montage has to be filmed by FRIDAYThere is a group meeting on Saturday, at 1pm. Bring photos, cameras, and ideas.

We still need to organise a proper location recee. Tomorrow morning, at 10.30, I am visitng the police station to find out any information I can about police proceedure to a crime scene of murder incase we have missed or need to change anything vital to the production and final script, as well as possibly borrowing an officer or two for filiming and the possibility of free ploice tape. It's a long shot, but worth it, and all good for the production file. Shooting starts in two weeks, so major kicks up our jacksees is a mandatory requirement to us all!! Thank you for putting up with my long long email, hope you all managed to bother reading it all! Dirty Shed Production 5!!!
